American Police Hall of Fame
The American Police Hall of Fame was founded in 1960 and is the nation's first national police museum and memorial dedicated to American law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The Museum, through interactive displays, simulators and nearly 11,000 artifacts, educates the public about the history and current trends of American law enforcement. See the bike used by Harrison Ford in the film Blade Runner alongside an authentic police-issue 1960 Harley Davidson. Visit the memorial to the police officers who fell in the line of duty on 9/11 where you can see debris belonging to the planes that hit the World Trade Center. The Memorial Walls list over 7,000 officers who were killed in the line of duty. Their names are permanently etched on the Memorial’s marble walls, which are added to once a year for Police Memorial Day. The Museum also features a state-of-the-art 24 lane indoor gun range that is open to the public.
