The NHRA Gainesville Raceway
For those petrol heads interested in drag racing, the Gainsville Raceway which opened in 1969 has all the thrills and spills you could want. Home to the NHRA Gatornationals it is long-considered one of the fastest tracks in the NHRA circuit, from its legendary launch point drivers have clocked up to 300-mph as they blast down the track.

Historic Haile Homestead
Completed in 1856 by enslaved craftsmen, this 6,200-square foot manse is one of the few remaining homes from the period before the Civil War in this area. It is unique for its ‘talking walls’, as the Haile family and friends wrote approximately 12,500 words on the walls of the home. The home was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 following a grant from the State of Florida.
