    World Golf Hall of Fame
World Golf Hall of Fame

World Golf Hall of Fame is the ultimate destination for the celebration and recognition of golf's greatest players and contributors and serves as an inspiration to golfers and fans throughout the world. The World Golf Hall of Fame opened its doors at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla., in 1998. Supported by all of the world's leading golf organizations, the Hall of Fame combines historic artifacts and personal memorabilia with interactive exhibits to tell the stories of the Hall of Fame members and the history of the game. Guests of the World Golf Hall of Fame experience the fascinating and comprehensive tale of golf's history and its development from the cradle in Scotland through its growth to the far reaches of the world. An exhibit in this area focuses on the role of The R&A, the history of the Open Championship, golf's longest-running major, and the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. The heart and soul of the World Golf Hall of Fame lies within its membership. One hundred and nine players and contributors currently hold the honor of being World Golf Hall of Fame members, including the 2006 Inductees Mark McCormack, Larry Nelson, Henry Picard, Vijay Singh and Marilynn Smith.

    Ghost Tours of St. Augustine
Ghost Tours of St. Augustine

Ghost Tours of St. Augustine was developed in 1994 by Sandy Craig, a native resident of St. Augustine. Sandy's heritage roots go back 400 years in St. Augustine, to the first Spanish settlers who arrived in this ancient city. She is of Minorcan descent, a cultural group of people migrated from Minorca, Spain who still inhabit St. Augustine. Maybe this explains her interest with the old spirits of St. Augustine. She's been known to say, "When I pass away, I want to stay here like everyone else and have people tell fascinating stories about why I just can't leave this wonderful city." "A Ghostly Experience" walking tour began in 1994, and the company now employs over 20 professional storytellers, who continue to add more and more ghostly tales to the tour.

Marineland

In the early 1930’s, a group of visionary men shared a dream. They visualized an indoor “ocean,” with tanks large enough for underwater filming and a realistic replication of underwater marine life as it existed in the wild, a window to the ocean. Named Marine Studios, and later Marineland, the world’s first oceanarium became the state’s most successful tourist attraction and a location with a special allure for scientists, writers, artists and entrepreneurs. Today it continues to serve as a link between the public and the marine world, promoting awareness of our fragile marine and coastal environments and inspiring a commitment to protection of these precious resources. Create lasting memories at the Dolphin Conservation Center with one of Marineland’s up-close and personal dolphin experiences.
Location: 9600 Oceanshore Blvd, St. Augustine, Fl 32080
