Enter the park through the Oasis before heading off to one of the five themed areas. Not to be missed is the Festival of the Lion King. Join Simba and his friends in a high-energy stage show full of music and dance where we meet all the creatures of the African plain.

Kilimanjaro Safaris is also popular as you ride an open-air vehicle through the African savannah encountering animals such as elephants, giraffes, rhinos and lions who roam free but keep a wary eye out for poachers intent on destroying these magnificent creatures.

On the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail you wander through the forest discovering the many birds and fish of Africa, as well seeing the hippos in an underwater viewing enclosure. Finally don’t miss Animal Kingdom’s gorillas – truly the king of the jungle.

Hop on the Wildlife Express Train, a typical African train that takes you to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, an educational conservation station and petting zoo.

Switch continents to Asia to see the majestic birds in Flights of Wonder then take a trip on the Kali River Rapids, a white-water rafting experience down the churning waters of the Chakranadi River. Watch out you may get soaked!

On the Maharajah Jungle Trek you wander through mythical ruins in the ancient Anandapur Royal Forest where you will see giant fruit bats, komodo dragons and tigers.

After the thrills of Asia, step back in time into DinoLand USA then ride Disney’s Time Rover back 65 million years as you try to save a dinosaur from extinction. But be careful you don’t bring it back with you when you make the jump back to the present.

The Primeval World is an out-of-control spinning rollercoaster with all the usual drops, twists and turns. Tarzan Rocks is a live musical stunt show in the company of Tarzan and his friends.

You can’t help but notice the incredible Tree of Life with the many animals craved into its trunk. It’s also the home of It’s Tough To Be A Bug, a stunning 3-D show featuring Flick and Hopper from Disney’s A Bug’s Life. Wearing your special 3-D bug eyes you get to experience life as a bug giving you a new understanding and respect for this vital part of our ecosystem. This is a highlight of any visit to the Animal Kingdom.
