Entering the park through Production Central where you find Shrek 4-D,
the ultimate four-dimensional ride presented in OgreVision. Join Shrek
and Donkey as once again they are forced to rescue Princess Fiona from
evil Lord Farquaad. This 12 minute adventure bridges the gap between
the two films as our unlikely heroes come face-to-face with ghostly
foes, a steep 1,000-foot waterfall, and fire-breathing dragons.
Join Jimmy, the boy genius on a wild ride through the worlds of your
favorite Nicktoons characters including SpongeBob and the Rugrats as he
enlists your help to save the planet and his friends at Jimmy Neutron’s
Nicktoon Blast.
Ride the Twister as you step onto the movie set and experience the
power of the tornado firsthand. As you wander through New York look out
for the Blues Brothers as Jake and Elwood bring their party to Delancey
Street at regular intervals through the day. Revenge of the Mummy – The
Ride is a fast-paced trip into ancient Egypt, the world’s first
“psychological thrill ride” places riders in seeming jeopardy, bringing
them face-to-face with both physical and psychological fears – fear of
the dark, fear of bugs, fear of fire, fear of falling, fear of being
out of control and more as you battle the mummy rushing to escape his
terrifying grasp.
Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Review is the ultimate monster rock ‘n’ roll
review. Come and see Beetlejuice, Frankenstein, the werewolf, the mummy
and co perform some roll ‘n’ roll hits. The show has recently been
revamped featuring new music including “Dancin’ in The Dark” and
“Jump”, new costumes and a surprise ending. Earthquake, the Big One
lets you into some of Hollywood’s special effects secrets before you
find yourself in the middle of an earth-shattering experience as you
recreate a scene from the 1970s movie Earthquake.
The terror of Jaws is just around the corner as you travel to Amity to
take a pleasure cruise only to have an unwanted guest turn up as Jaws
reawakens your most primal fears by recreating the spine-tingling
thrills of Steven Spielberg's blockbuster movie.
The terror does not stop there with Fear Factor Live you can experience
the thrill of the blockbuster series in a way you could not before:
live. In each show, park guests compete against each other in a
progression of extreme stunts, developed with help from Fear Factor’s
creators. Imagine drinking a smoothie made of blended worms, crickets,
sauerkraut, sardines, octopus and fish; or swinging high in the air on
a harness while tossing slimy squid to a partner; or fishing with your
bare hands through a tank of live eels; or having a bucket of
squirming, slithering snakes dumped onto your head. Fear Factor Live
contestants do this and more.
It’s time to save the planet as you join the Men in Black for Alien
Attack. Test your skills at the MIB agent training program before
tackling the invading hordes where your alien-zapping skills are put to
the test. Will your team win and join the MIB or will you have your
memories wiped? Climb aboard the specially designed DeLorean time
machines on Back to the Future The Ride as Doc Brown sends you
screaming back through time.
For younger guests there’s Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone which features
rides and amusements for the younger guests including Animal Planet
Live, a humorous show featuring live animal performances as animals
truly do the funniest things. Also located in the KidZone is E.T.
Adventure which continues the saga of one of the world’s most beloved
screen characters. Visitors are lifted to the stars as they climb
aboard bicycles and venture across the endless universe with E.T. in an
effort to save his dying home – the mysterious, mist-shrouded “Green
Planet.”
In Hollywood you will find Terminator 2: 3-D Battle Across Time which
lets you join forces with the Terminator in this futuristic live action
special effects film as you battle to access cyberdine systems to
destroy the T-1,000,000 saving humanity from extinction. Universal’s
Horror Make-Up Show is a horrendously ghoulish show that will entertain
all the family as make-up artists take you through the amazing special
effects from some of Universal’s most popular movies.
Hollywood Boulevard will play host to The Lucy and Ricky Show this
summer as the classic duo of Lucy and Ricky Ricardo have guests dancing
in the streets to traditional Cuban rhythms’ reminiscent of their
1950’s sitcom.
New this summer is Universal 360: A Cinesphere Spectacular that opens
early July. This new high-tech nightly lagoon show is a sweeping
celebration of blockbuster films unlike anything ever attempted in the
United States. Spread across the entire Universal Studios lagoon, the
new show relies on four-story-tall, 360-degree projection
“cinespheres,” an original music score, 300 outdoor speakers, lasers
and pyro-technic effects to place guests in the midst of their favorite
films.
