In the mid-1970’s, George D. Millay, founder of SeaWorld, left his successful marine-life theme park to concentrate his efforts on creating the world’s first waterpark, Wet ‘n Wild – Orlando. The park opened in 1977 and was the first in amusement history to feature participatory water activities and attractions. Today, Wet ‘n Wild – Orlando is still one of the nation’s best-attended waterparks.

Wet ‘n Wild has more for families to do together than any other waterpark in Orlando! Mom and Dad can float leisurely through reaching palms and flowing hibiscus on the Lazy River, engulfing themselves in thousands of bubbles discovering what made Ponce de Leon think he found the Fountain of Youth. Drifting further into the alcove of the spring they find an enchanting waterfall spilling down a rocky hillside. Thrillseeking teens can experience the ultimate free-fall on the Bomb Bay as you fall like a bomb from an aircraft onto a 76ft near-vertical slide for a heart-stopping experience. Der Stuka, the park’s first thrill ride sends you into freefall down a 250ft slide before cruising down a 115ft water slide. The Hydra Fighter, the first-ever interactive water ride. Strap yourselves into the back to back chairs, grab your water cannon and hold on as the water presser launches you twisting and turning through the air.

Little ones love the Kids’ Park with miniature versions of the park’s most popular adult rides – there’s something for everyone to do, no matter how young or young at heart you are!

Provided you make it past the bouncer, your flashback journey begins by boarding a four-person cloverleaf raft that descends through a time warp, toward a watery disco nightclub. Once “inside,” you’ll find yourself rotating around the aqua club surrounded by music, lights, and disco balls! Shake your booty to the sounds of the seventies on this jivin’ new attraction you won’t find anywhere else!
