It may sound good but most home pools are fun pools not swimming pools, many are overlooked by your neighbours.
Have you young children ? Will you feel comfortable with them having access to the pool .

Cheap ? Only if you fancy a “one room” holiday. With the kid’s !. Hotel rooms are to sleep in and not much else.
